Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup 115g unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup 120g creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup 100g granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup 100g packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups 160g all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup 85g semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted and slightly cooled
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream the butter and peanut butter: In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla: Mix in the egg and vanilla extract, beating until fully combined.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the peanut butter mixture and mix until just combined.
- Shape the dough: Take about 1 tablespoon of dough and roll it into a ball. Place it on the prepared baking sheet and flatten it slightly with your hands.
- Swirl the chocolate: Use a small spoon or knife to swirl about 1 teaspoon of melted chocolate into the top of each cookie dough ball. Create a marbled pattern using a toothpick or knife.
- Bake the cookies: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are golden and the centers are still soft.
- Cool and enjoy: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
