2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted


Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing smoothly after each addition.
  • Sift in the cocoa powder and salt, folding gently to combine.
  • Stir in the flour until just combined, then fold in the chopped pecans.
  • Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the light corn syrup, brown sugar, and melted butter together until smooth.
