1 cup light corn syrup
½ cup packed brown sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing smoothly after each addition.
- Sift in the cocoa powder and salt, folding gently to combine.
- Stir in the flour until just combined, then fold in the chopped pecans.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
- In a separate bowl, mix the light corn syrup, brown sugar, and melted butter together until smooth.
- Pour the corn syrup mixture over the brownie batter and spread evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
