Blackberry Cobbler: A Sweet Treat to Savor Today!

  • Total Time: 70
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

This blackberry cobbler is a delightful treat that will have your guests begging for seconds! Warm, sweet, and perfectly paired with ice cream, it’s sure to disappear in no time.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup milk

3 cups blackberries (fresh or frozen)

½ cup melted butter

1½ cups sugar

½ tsp vanilla

1 cup self-rising flour

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour, sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
  • Pour the melted butter into a baking dish, making sure to spread it evenly.
  • Carefully pour the batter mixture over the melted butter—do not stir! The butter will rise to the top during baking.
  • Gently sprinkle the blackberries over the batter, distributing them evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the cobbler turns a beautiful golden brown and the edges bubble enticingly.
  • Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve warm, ideally topped with a scoop of ice cream, and watch it vanish!

Notes

Serve warm for the best flavor, especially with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
