1/2 cup (100g) packed brown sugar
1/4 cup (20g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups (360ml) hot water
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt, whisking until well blended.
- Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract, stirring until smooth and fully combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased 8-inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cocoa powder, then sprinkle this mixture evenly over the batter.
- Carefully pour the hot water over the top of the dessert without stirring.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the top is set and a toothpick comes out clean from the edges.
