1 1/2 cups (360ml) hot water

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder


Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt, whisking until well blended.
  • Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract, stirring until smooth and fully combined.
  • Pour the batter into a greased 8-inch baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cocoa powder, then sprinkle this mixture evenly over the batter.
  • Carefully pour the hot water over the top of the dessert without stirring.
